Joining the already popular XCL-5000 are two new 5 mega pixel ultra high-resolution PoCL digital cameras. These two new cameras adopt the AIA’s PoCL standard (Power Over Camera Link) and feature auto-selectable power from an EIAJ or PoCL connector. Power for these cameras can be provided with the same connector as used with the Camera Link technology for a more streamlined back-end solution. One cable for power and video.

The XCL-5005 monochrome camera and XCL-5005CR color camera both incorporate a new Sony 2/3 type Progressive Scan CCD sensor with square pixels. Both cameras provide exceptional picture quality (2,448 x 2,050 pixels) and capture video at 15 frames per second. Best of all, they are backward compatible with the XCL-5000 and share the same dimensions and connectors for ease of upgrading.

The XCL-5005 and XCL-5005CR both feature a multitude of functions such as vertical and horizontal partial scanning, built-in real-time hardware pre-processing, and flexible high-speed outputs. These functions are extremely beneficial to machine vision applications. These models are compatible with a wide variety of commercially available Camera Link® frame grabbers.
