Sony's New FCB-EX1010 & FCB-EX1010P Color Block Cameras

Sony’s continues to lead the industry with cutting edge technology with the latest additions to the FCB camera series. Not unlike the existing FCB camera series, the FCB-EX1010 and the FCBEX1010P color block cameras incorporate ¼ type ExView HAD™ CCD along with exceptional picture quality and high zoom capabilities (432x w/optical zoom). In addition, the new FCB-EX1010 and the FCB-EX1010P are the first in this exceptional camera series to feature a 36x zoom lens with Wide- D, as well as horizontal resolution of 530 TV lines, improved motion detection, spherical privacy zone masking with mosaic effect, and enhanced multi lines (more than two) for title.

The FCB-EX1010 and FCB-EX1010P also features a slow AE Response Function that automatically slows the rate at which the exposure level changes. The rate can be set up to 32 times slower than when the Full Auto mode or Priority mode is selected. This is useful in areas in which lighting conditions change abruptly, for example, monitoring in underground parking or traffic monitoring at night.

    Wide D Lens Advantage:
These new FCB-EX cameras incorporate an advanced backlight compensation technology that dramatically improves camera dynamic range by 128 times, resulting in clear image reproduction in extreme high-contrast environments. These cameras capture the same image twice – first with a normal shutter speed, and then with a high shutter speed. The dark areas captured at normal shutter speed and the bright areas captured at high shutter speed are then combined into one image using an advanced DSP LSI, thus clearly reproducing high-contrast images of the original scene.

    Improved Motion Detection:
Within a screen divided into 12 horizontal and 8 vertical blocks, the camera detects change in luminance within designated areas (4 max) and specifies position.
